The particle analyzer CAMSIZER X2 is supplied as a complete "stand alone" unit including:

X-Jet Module for air pressure dispersion

With the dry powder feeder agglomerated particles can be accelerated and dispersed through a nozzle with adjustable overpressure. Thus the agglomerates are separated without destroying the particles.

X-Fall Module for gravity / free fall dispersion

Pourable, not agglomerated particles can be fed to the analysis area by a vibrating feeder. The sample is accelerated towards the analysis area by gravity, and is collected after analysis in a box. Sample loss or contamination is minimized, so that the sample can be reused after the analysis.

X-Flow Module for liquid dispersion

In the wet module particles can be dispersed in liquids. Optimized dispersion conditions for each sample can be found with the help of the integrated ultrasonic module and different pumping speeds. Only a very small amount of sample is required for analysis in the wet module, as the sample is pumped continually through the measurement cell.

Extended Measuring Ranges

Due to the patented two-camera principle, all measurement ranges can be analyzed in one measurement run, without any hardware adjustments.

  • X-Fall (gravity dispersion)
    Standard:   10 µm1) to 3 mm
    Optional:    10 µm1) to 8 mm

  • X-Jet (air pressure dispersion)
    Standard:    0.8 µm to 1.5 mm
    Optional:     1 µm to 5 mm

  • X-Flow (wet dispersion)
    Standard:    0.8 µm to 1 mm2)

1) The lower limit for X-Fall depends on the sample properties (agglomeration).
For agglomerating particles the X-Jet or X-Flow module are recommended.

2) The upper size limit for X-Flow depends on the density of the sample material. 
600 µm is a typical limit for materials with a density of up to 2.5 g/cm3.
